I always wanted the Fiero, even the wheezing Iron Duke 4 banger, but that was before Toyota’s magical adult go cart, the MR2. My mother, who is awesome, bought a brand new 86 and let my brother and I drive it and drive it more than she did. I love you Mom!

It saves time just to buy a random woman a house.  Less paperwork.

Have you ever drive a Fiero? I have. My brother bought a low mile, top of the line ‘84 SE in late ‘85 or ‘86 or so and drove it for a few years. As I recall, while it was fairly fun to drive, the controls (clutch, steering, brakes) were really heavy for what it was, with a very vague cable shifter. It definitely was

I guess the answer has to be that streamlining production is cheaper than individual options, but that seems strange to me.  Whatever works I guess.

Many Land Rover Discos had all the wiring and the heating pads for heated seats, but no switches unless you got the option. VW did that for a while too.

Funny you mention that. My kid just dropped $1400 on a clapped out wrangler,  with about $8k worth of axles, suspension, wheels, tires, and winch. All of the goodies are in good to new condition, and bolted to a jeep that probably should of been sold for scrap BEFORE all that shit was put on somebody’s credit card.

That last bit of advice about don’t toss lots of money at an old vehicle goes against everything the off road community does every day. Where else do you see $1000 rusty beaters with $12K in new axles?

Pretty sure people buying a Morgan aren’t looking for the latest technology. I can’t really see this as a good move for them.

It hasn’t even been 24 hours since Boris won a majority and he is already ruining Britain.

Your Morgan was made with wood too. Truly the ultimate Jalop.

Hah! Shows what those rubes in Knoxville know. It’s clearly a scalene triangle.

argument seems reasonable, but definitely not an equilateral triangle. More likely isosceles, but probably scalene. :)

Im currently back in rural Middle Tennessee on a work thing, and one of my clients brought up the CYBERTRUCK. He currently owns a Nissan Diesel pickup, as he is a Nissan employee here at their headquarters.

YEAH BUT WHAT IF IT LOOKED LESS LIKE A FERRARI AND MORE LIKE A NISSAN WITH A BOOMBOX HANDLE ON THE BACK?!?!?///////

Before you vote CP, you need to know why - behold, the car in its original, beautiful form:

People in the US whine about it, but people in Europe seem to love mass transit.

Neutral:

Neutral: jetpacks. I don’t want to hear about anything else.

Neutral: Public transit probably has the best odds. Autonomy isn’t going to “solve” shit in our lifetime. At best, it will be a nice luxury for highway cruising between cities.

Neutral: Frankly what’s most needed is a massive attitude adjustment and it’s coming, but probably way too late for most of America. Whenever I have to go to the suburbs to visit the in-laws, the lack of even the most basic non-car infrastructure, I’m talking fucking sidewalks, is horrendous. Most places have an
