I've actually never played any MGS games, but I've been recommended them several times. I already have a few ideas for my next few movies, but I might check out MGS4 some time.

For some reason my recording cut off the last 15 minutes or so of the DLC, and you can't replay memories in AC2 so I'd have to start all over again. I think, however, that the DLC slows the story down a bit, but I do regret excluding it because Caterina shows up again in Brotherhood (I forgot about that)

I highly disagree. With 48fps, it's more real. This isn't always a good thing. Think about miniatures. They are filmed in slow motion because it helps with the sense that they are larger than they really are, more impressive. Using a slower frame rate does the same thing.
