@CodingParadox: About the same as the 07s, and while it's a little heavy, it's typical for a car with a full awd system (IE: it has a center diff, not a haldex-like system)

@mwood10: Yeah, but 0-60, skidpad and 50-70 don't tell you everything.

We need some sort of a Quarterback Rating for cars. Something like Top Speed divided by Dollars, divided by 0-60 time, divided by braking distance, times seatbelts, times skidpad Gs, times HP, times Torque, divided by curb weight.

Somewhere in that shop is a giant pile of dulled drill bits and broken hole saws.

@IppoJ: Agreed, although I did like the Recaros in the EVO better than the STI's seats: they have more lateral support. I also liked the look of the evo when I first saw the pictures of it, but after seeing them both in person, I actually prefer the look of the STI now.

Apparently vapid response or not, the microfinance thing really appears to be working. It makes sense: If I'm going to donate $100k, why not leverage that to loan $1mil instead? I might lose $100k on it, but I was going to lose that anyway.

@Hookey: Ugh. People really need to stop posting about what car costs what price in what country. We really don't care. Today's conversion rate is not an indication of buying power, and things like Auto prices, which include (ridiculous) taxes in the UK and are before-tax in the US are one of the worst comparisons

*sigh* almost my first car... [kicks self]

Someone remind me again what added value Dealers provide? Fucking hyenas.

@grzydj: Yeah, but the outgoing STI had the BBS wheels standard. The stock wheels on the new STI are garbage. So it really is about a $3k difference, and besides, I think the 2007 STI went up in price from 2006.

@Fuck Lion: Based on the reviews (as I have driven neither) the STI has a faster 0-60 time and should be faster around a track than the somewhat soft 135i. Maybe if BMW releases the Tii concept then it will be more of a competitor.

In part three you should just go ahead and say: "Who Should Buy This Car: People with gawker screenames that rhyme with Sandy Drunken"

@Mad_Science: The softening of the stock WRX is indeed a shame. Subaru isn't going to have a real competitor for the EVO Ralliart when it arrives.

Mercedes C63 Black Series Wagon. That would be awesome.

It's too ugly. It's too expensive. They should have made a sedan. It's too rough around the edges. It gets crap mileage.

Why you should buy this car: You're Oedipal in a blind-from-eye-gouging/Appalachian kind of way.

I just can't even comprehend what driving a car with that much torque must be like.

@Hyman Decent: ++ It's like they didn't even read the press release. Must be busy over there in Geneva. Probably spending more time at the brothels than the show...

As far as mileage, they stated around 23 mpg highway back when they showed it in detroit.
