I've had 3 of them (and an Elan +2S). I liked the 1967 best (the green one). I still have a red 1972 Twin Cam.

In the 4th paragraph from the end, "I didn't want it to swing back clockwise..." should read, "I didn't want it to swing back counter-clockwise..."
