Ok.

Thank you for posting the number.

So because you had a bad experience, admittedly having nothing to do with the actual people trying to help you, this should negate the positive experiences of hundreds of thousands of people who the hotline has helped. Interesting.

For me (and my family) it has gotten better. One thing that really helped us was joining with the AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) and doing their walks twice a year in St. Pete and Chicago. Hearing stories and talking with people who have felt the same type of loss that we did made a world of

They investigate every unexpected death, you start with an autopsy

Glad you made it through! You are so valuable and cared for...even by this stranger.

I lost my cousin last year...tell me it gets better...

Thank you so much.

Glad you made it through.

Thank you for posting it - I’ve noticed that before, and I’m sure others have too. It’s a really awesome way to honor your cousin’s memory.

I have lost two friends to suicide so I include it whenever suicide is mentioned.

This is really the only valuable response to this thread. The NSPL has done a LOT of good for many people and could be helpful for many more. Personally it got me through a hard *hard* period of my life. Can’t recommend enough.

Thank you. I appreciate it. I truly do.

My mothers favorite saying “you never know what goes on behind closed doors”.

I’m sorry for you and your family’s loss, and thank you for putting this information out there as well.

One of my husband’s mentors was a dynamic, accomplished woman who was president of the securities company he was working for about ten years ago. Married for 32 years, two teenaged children, served on numerous boards and was just generally a deeply involved, connected and vibrant person. She ended her life one night

Good post. That is all.

Thank you for posting the hotline.

Underrated post
