What does this have to do with the cast of Hamilton, though?

I can’t wait to hear what these rich old people determine to be the best course of action to combat the other rich old people.

On the calendar for opening weekend. I NEVER go opening weekend, but I’ve been waiting for this since the first trailer.

That’s encouraging to hear. And I understand that things of that nature and scale take time, so I can appreciate that for the people who literally do not know where their next meal might come from, time is not something they have. They don’t want to wait around for a solution - no matter what that solution may be.

Yes, yes it is.

Yes and let me just say, I don’t think Sanders is perfect. He could’ve spoken more to minority issues but when he has the courage to stand with Standing Rock and Indigenous people in general, it tells me a lot.

“...white working class voters routinely vote against their own economic best interest, no matter how much Dems cater and beg and explain.”

If a person who promoted global fracking as SOS is the best environmental candidate we’ve had, we need better environmental candidates.

You may be surprised to learn that “workers” are not all white men. In fact, most workers are not white men. The DNC could’ve talked about the economy, helping the working class, and raising the minimum wage. Talking about raising the minimum wage was not racist. Clinton’s campaign could’ve added it to her talking

I had a conversation with a co-worker about this today. I said that if there are entire populations of people in this country with manufacturing skills but no jobs, why are alternative energy companies not moving in and having people get to work building components for wind-power, solar power, etc. And she was like,

Thanks pal! I used to go by many many names. I think we’re acquainted.

Oh yeah the majority will grow and eventually these social issues won’t have a place in politics because of the support for them. I just think the social issues right now can cost you some elections. Hopefully support will continue to grow quickly. A 20% gain in support for same sex marriage in 15 years is a big swing.

The left activists and political commentators and groups I follow (e.g., Yvette Carnell, Benjamin Dixon, National Nurses United, Fight For Fifteen, etc. etc. etc.) are absolutely talking about this. It’s not just that there was a shift of white WC voters to Trump. Black and Hispanic WC voters stayed home rather than

I’m a 50-ish woman who was all in for Bernie, then voted for Hillary in the general. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve been insulted and scorned by the HillzGalz throughout the primary season, calling me a BernieBro, then telling me, “YOU LOST, GET OVER IT!” at every opportunity after the primary.

Do they? The Dems have paid lip service to labor unions for years while at the same time pushing for anti-labor agreements like TPP and NAFTA. You also conveniently forgot to leave out breaking up the banks and social justice. Those are just three areas the Dems can be more progressive and less centrist.

The majority of black people are working class people. The majority of hispanic people are working class people. The majority of “POC” are working class people. WORKING FOR POLICES THAT PROCTECT AND LIFT ALL WORKING CLASS PEOPLE IS NOT RACIST!!!!!

Would you mind defining “alt-left”?

I like when people say “populism is the danger” since its one step away from “democracy is the danger.” Hard to persuade people to vote for you when you will openly admit you don’t trust them.

lol
