I don’t think you have to change the facts, just jazz it up a little. Conversations between he and his men or he and his wife would not have been recorded, so those can be made up and be compelling dialogue for one thing. At least one of his crew members probably also had an interesting life to flesh it out. Not sure…

Same here. I was staring at the floor as Camille was staring at it, and thinking “what?!” The floor just looked kind of powdered to me. Had the teeth been more laminated in there it may have made more of an impression. Then again I don’t have an HD tv.

I watch it now and then, but never bother to on demand an episode I’ve missed. It has a few laughs but I don’t care about the plot or the world it is set in. It’s an adequate show, I guess.
