This ought to be fun. The final season had a lot of issues, most notably the temple and the final maguffin, but I love the idea that the afterlife is what we make of it and that no matter what happens in our lives or when or how we leave them, our friends and family are always there for us in the end.

I finally saw this just yesterday; it's been a long time since I've found Tom Cruise's acting to be credible, but he was actually quite good in it. The whole thing was one of the most enjoyable science fiction action movies I've seen in a long time—I actually think it's better than Guardians of the Galaxy.

I grew up about 3 hours from Nueva Ecija, in Nueva Vizcaya. Some of these track does bring back some memories of interacting with the ifugau mountain folks who came down regularly for tradings with the town folks.
