Yes, I KNOW! I bet 20 golden dragon we don’t see the Winds of Winter until, and only until HBO is done with the series.

You underestimate how much the showrunnners want this over with. They saw a shortcut with Rickon and they’re taking it.

Surprising little amount of HYPE in the comments. Please take note:

Hopefully, the writers forgot to include the Sansneks after episode 1, and they are never mentioned again. Ever.

Also, is Theon going to get Quentyn’ed? I really, really hope not, simply because it does not make sense thematically or narratively (just thinking and comparing Quentyn’s and Theon’s story in general).

Nah, Rickon is 100% dead. Deader than Shaggydog. Deader than Ned. Dead dead dead.

Sheesh Yara, “a rough couple of years” doesn’t even begin to describe what Theon went through.

HYPE is coming.

Definitely Hopkins is a better fit (if only for a minor part in a the Thor franchise).

I thought it was going to happen during this episode, courtesy of Brienne. I’m glad he’s not dead yet though, I really want to see him at the end of it all, chaos all around him.

Fuck you Benioff and Weiss! Stop killing direwolves! What a fucking senseless death it was, and from what I understand, the direwolves have a special significance, they’re not just there to provide a fucking cheap emotional punch.

Counterpoint:

HYPE IS COMING.

Well, I guess that does it for Osha becoming a Mance-like figure, and offing some Bolton men while Sansa and Jon get to Winterfell.

I agree that the Hound’s ending is already kind of perfect, he’s now at peace, after a life of being an asshole to everyone (contrast that to Ned, Rob and Jon, who ended up dead after being pretty cool to everyone they know).

I sadly agree with you. His motivations are clear enough for him, Ramsey and the audience.

I like this. Osha being the new Mance. Shaggydog not dead. The North Remembers.

Like a lot of people here, I hope “the North remembers”, and that the Umbers (and sure, maybe the Karstarks) are playing the long con. But I don’t think the showrunners are too invested in showing Northern politics like in the south. I pray to the seven that Shaggydog returns to rips Ramsey’s fucking face off though.

I am so furious at the Shaggydog scene. I’m litterally having Red Wedding flashbacks.
