Charlie Jane, are the religious scenes toned downed in the movie? I remember the book being somewhat confrontational about it, especially in one "scene".

I think it's kind of weird that NASA keeps doing these "trailers" of big news. Couldn't they just do it the normal way and present results when you have said results? It's not like they are feeling pressure and their budget has suddenly been put under danger (it always is).

Cyriaque definitely expanded our minds when it came to weird videos, obscure uncomfortable comics and just plain nonsense.
To be fair, half of it was climactic. The series of events on the island were exciting and sad, and you wanted a happy ending for them. Especially JUST BEFORE THE SUBMARINE.
