"Women who had abortions overwhelming reported feeling relieved (90%), though many also felt sad and guilty afterwards."

"One of the best shows in decades"

*Shuts it down*

I would prefer them in the wild too, but I'd rather see them not dead. :(

I absolutely loved this movie. But the whole "I'm too old for this shit theme" was weird for me. Basically because we've just seen Casino Royale and in it how Bond just became 007. As in, a couple of movies ago. I was expecting Bond to keep making mistakes, learning and suffering consequences through the series until

I don't know exactly what the comment meant to say but: the trailer for Iron Man 3 reminded me of The Dark Knight Rises too. Particularly around scenes where:

Yeah, I guess I am making a broad (and very probably unjust) generalization there about the authors. Though the selection of YA literature out there is not that great. You made a great example, when you were younger you read 1984, when I was younger I read 20,000 Leagues under the Sea.

No. The authors writing for them aren't capable of writing more complex characters or story. It's called writing for the lowest common denominator. It happens across all genres and ages. But for YA it happens more often since it is so very lucrative to do so.

I was thinking the same thing as I read this. The other thing that I was thinking was not only would it get published, it would get optioned as a summer blockbuster before it was finished.

I find it a bit insulting for this genre to be called Young Adult at all to be honest. They seem to be more of a "Teen" book, dealing with subject matter that interests that demographic. Sure, I guess the subject matter can be serious, but it only goes as deep as the genre permits: not very deep.

You're probably right, which makes me extremely sad.

I think science fiction has influenced my views on a more personal level than politics. Specifically, characters from science fiction literature, and their way of acting in the world have influenced me, not necessarily their political views.

So it's not just any migration. It's a sex migration.

Kids have also less open spaces to, you know, be kids. They need to run and jump and break bones and stuff. I'm not refuting in any way the findings of this paper, fast food is horrible, awful, sometimes delicious, junk.

You guys I'm glad everyone's ok, and everything's up and running again. What a week!

That was actually not that bad! The quality of fan-made stuff has gotten very good pretty quick.

But maybe by the same logic, all crop circles are not evidence of alien interference, but demonic interference? Like portals for them to come through or something.

This is the first and hopefully the last time I hear of this crazy-person phenomenon.

This is incredible, I've never heard of this before.
