we don't know enough about her to say she's terrible, but with friends like that, better to stay on your own. Terrible advice and it just reinforced how little I think of Alison's true character. She's been hurt by something that no one should have to go through, but it is how she's handled it that makes me look at…
I thought this was the worst episode of the 7 and a big step backwards. Alison made me annoyed then angry with her behavior. Cole deserves better. I did not like the haphazard cop scenes dropped in without any context at all. I'm not sure why that was necessary.
I've written the same thing above, but live they are just not as dynamic or interesting to me without the keyboards. They play the songs without them and they are fine, but just not the same.
I live here. It is a bit scary after say 1pm at night. Not a place I consider frightening, but it does take me out my comfort zone for sure. It probably depends on your age.
I don't think it is underrated at all. It is a good album, but compared to the rest of their catalog it belongs near the bottom
Stay Positive is a very strong record. Almost Killed me was very good for a first album, but I rarely listen to it anymore.
Anyone else think they really miss the Piano? I do. As a guitar-centric band I think they are missing something that added to their sound, Franz also had a lot of personality onstage. I know he isn't coming back but the piano/keyboard parts could be filled by someone else. Just a thought
So did Oscar fake that phone call or not? What is the consensus? FWIW, It seemed real to me.
I also thought her getting out of the car at the end was preposterous. Him then staying on the front step instead of just going in the door to be with his son and family. No one inside was going to look outside and see why Dad is talking to this person? And with a second floor balcony above, the chance that anyone…
Amen to that. Watching this alone as opposed to with my wife are two different experiences.
that is brilliant. Thanks.
or that stringy hair. I would pay just to put some shampoo in it. And I get that she has more important things going on in her life, but neither of these two look appealing. Which fits into the narrative of the show..got it.
I disagree with that. I'm having trouble coaxing the energy to keep watching this show. The acting is pretty bad (and I'm a Mcnutty homer) and the writing is spots has me scratching my head. They are both very ambitious shows, but my general rule is that in terms of quality HBO is the big leagues and Showtime is a…
Thank you. I was absolutely sure that this wasn't their first time but perhaps in this shows bizarre structure I was mistaken. I thought it was the moment when he insisted on taking charge.
I turned the TV off last night and said that the least interesting part of this show called The Affair is the Affair itself. The murder investigation, the small town politics, the inter-family rivalries all seem far more compelling.
I'm going to have to watch again, but not seeing the connection between these two.
6 episodes for the final season of the Newsroom? I probably wasn't going to watch anyway (the first two were quite enough) but now I know for sure it is going to be a waste of time.
Not hot at all. Perhaps for the 1930's, but for modern day nothing but a yawn and a gratutious waste of valuable time.
B+? Talk about grading on a curve. With only 8 episodes in this final season, to essentially throw a good part of this away on stories that could have been handled far more succinctly is a waste. I thought this was a C episode at best, and one I probably will just delete quickly rather than watch again.
