Throbbing Gristle was definitely born out of the post-punk movement along with bands like This Heat and Suicide.

Post-Punk is the result of taking the ideas and infrastructures that were created during the punk movement and expanding on them through experimentation or other means non-conventional means.

Cause "has no talent" is a generic dismissal. Just like people think that Brittney Spears was a teenage girl who never cared about music before she was discovered in a mall a put in a music video a week or two later. As they themselves have enough talent to even look at a camera.

This is just one of those things where everybody knows there is no issue, but everybody talks about it as if there is anyway. If Jack White had not responded, or if Jack White was capable of responding in an adult way, the the issue would have been dead already.

The Jack doth complain too much.

Oh please, as if I have heard your confused melange of shit before. You know people like you used to gloat about how I was going to proven wrong as soon as Saddam was overthrown. I'm well aware of Iraq's history with chemical weapons and was aware of it before the Gulf War happened.

She does a great cover of the Christopher Cross song "Sailing"

"Ever think Saddam moved weapons into syria or other neighboring country since we announced when the UN would inspect? That's far fetched? "

I used to read a publication called FAIR (Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting). I remember them being quite good at showing where different media entities leaned toward a narrative during the run up to the Iraq war.

Game?

The real question is, do you know when Jon Stewart is bullshitting you? Do you know when somebody is telling what you want to hear, and do you ever realize that what you want to hear is bullshit?

It's not bad that Stewart gives you it pre-chewed. It's bad if you never develop the skills to do it on your own and simply became a complete dupe to the first person that abuses it.

Basically, who ever gets quoted has a right to their own facts.

I find the people who complain about 'bias' in the media are the same people who complain about the gay rights movement being too outspoken.

This article keeps using the word objectivity where they should be using the word neutrality. We don't have a problem with journalists trying to avoid expressing an opinion. In fact, the news is currently inundated with columnists who express nothing but opinion. What we really have is a problem with neutrality where

Youtube has a thing on this.

The Prisoner can't be remade. A remake of The Prisoner would be like one those stories where you end up saying "I guess you had to be there."

The description of A-Team sounded an awful lot like Burn Notice.

Now if only we can get the vendors to stop putting CDs in with the vinyl we'll be getting somewhere.

I've been shopping at three of them for that last 15 years and I've discovered a lot of music simply because the people who worked there knew my tastes. You really can't go to the Internet and say that you've been listening to a lot of Brutal Truth and Squarepusher and you're curious about jazz.
