I haven't really experienced this. It seems that for every 5 new records I being home there will be one or two that have a digital download card.

I love my record collection but the idea that it makes you sit still for 20 minutes is the biggest pile of bullshit happening.

Poll: Who here remembers the first press secretary, ie the first time they realized that the press secretary basically has the job of contorting the truth for the president? Mine was Ari Fleischer.

I'd like the idea of Jones and Bee morning show, except in the morning. But, as for the Daily Show most of their appearances in the last couple years have made me feel completely spent. But, then again, I figured John Oliver might be too shouty for the host chair as well.

There were a lot of jokes on the Daily Show that required a working knowledge of US politics, US media, and current events. The show didn't really make things easier to understand, they simply highlighted where the media was contorting themselves in order to present their preferred narratives. The had an uncanny

Does he really or was really just that one time? Even my toddler knows the one about people thinking Every Breath you Take is romantic.

I can't see John Oliver giving up HBO. Those 17 minute think pieces are his intellectual bread and butter. He'd never be able to do that on Comedy Central.

Everything Breath You Take simply doesn't belong here. The song was never intended to be romantic, it doesn't really sound romantic, and I doubt anyone who thinks otherwise has really paid attention to the song and simply expects a hit song to be positive. This horse was beaten to death 30 years ago, it shouldn't be

My first impression of Taylor Swift was that I wasn't in her target market and therefore prone to not getting it. The song isn't that bad even though it sounds like a scenario that would play out on Saved By the Bell.

I just don't buy it. I think he's back pedaling. It's one thing to talk about the awards being dumb because they are poorly representative of the talent that is out there. It's another to complain about the awards being dumb because you didn't like how the voting went. Basically, I don't get the impression that he

It actually never occurred to me that Beck would be a drug user. He seemed more like the class clown who spent most of his spare time watching TV and shopping at thrift store records.

Do you really believe that?

The "George Bush doesn't care about black people" remark was an outburst that came after Mike Myers read from his part of the script. Kenye's actual rant was about real things that were happening in the media, and everybody felt like the response was extremely slow for no apparent reason. Kenye also looked genuinely

So, what exactly was this right idea?

I always found it interesting that Beyonce and Kenye West somehow became the pop artists that all the hipsters are supposed to respect.

The Junos denied an exceptionally good Voivod album for a fairly generic punk rock album this year as well. It's disappointing because there is a ton of good metal out there and a ton of it is popular so there's no reason to pad the category with stuff that shouldn't qualify.

I've always felt that Eastwood's characters, especially Dirty Harry, were driven more by pragmatism than feeling the need to do bad things. He does the dirty jobs simply because they need to be done. If he could stop a bank robbery by politely asking the robbers to put their weapons down he would.

Probably because Kyle's history is so problematic that there wasn't a measured way of dealing with it. You try to analyze Kyle and people interpret it as tearing strips out of a war hero, you show Kyle without analysis and you have something that paints Iraq war veterans with a very bad brush, and why pass up the

It does change the fact that 9/11 was the reason the war in Iraq happened, and it doesn't change the fact that Iraq was a call to arms for most Americans. The movie does gloss over the time line a little too much, but you have to remember that 9/11 had many ramifications, some of them justified, and some of them not.

I love my Moka pot, and simply wish we had those Italian espresso machines in Canada. Paying a buck for a decent espresso during my 10 minute coffee break at school would be awesome. The only way to get espresso around here is to make it yourself, or pay too much to wait too long for some hipster to make it.
