My question is why does he listen to it? Does he have a day job where he's forced to hear it? Does he not know about portable music media?

He's pretty clear that he believed the song was penned specifically as a reaction to becoming an icon, and when the interviewer provided context he completely backpedaled. It's just blatantly obvious that he's never really thought about the song before. It's pretty obvious that he's unable to give a straight answer on

The interviewer was going pretty easy on him.

Mansplaining was invented for men who like to explain things to women while completely ignoring how women might feel about the topic. In this case, explaining what the song is supposed to mean while ignoring that the woman who interviewed this guy didn't think very much about where he was going.

I love how he goes on about how Nirvana was not punk, and how they're guilty of influencing Nickleback. As if any post-grunge band did anything close to what In the original Steve Albini mix of In Utero was.

Failed after 5 minutes on Youtube.

It says a lot that the rape theme was never his primary problem with the lyrics.

The guy hasn't clued in that he simply doesn't like Nirvana anymore. Just like people who complain about albums with only two good songs haven't figured out that they're listening to bands that suck.

I also wonder about all these guys in pop-punk bands going on about how their hate song is too simple and repetitive.

As if being in a pop-punk band isn't some form of regurgitation.

The interviewer did the right thing by trying to steer the guy's opinion into something valid instead of the pile of nonsense he kept going on about.

This one seemed like it was going to be good but then it became really obvious that this guy has the intellectual depth of an unused bed pan.

Nah, the tale of an out of work sci-fi actor who comes of age after failing as a real life super hero.

I'm sure he has a tale about giving the network execs a piece of his mind and then saying "and I just left at that" before giving the network execs another piece of his mind and then saying "and I just left it at that" before giving the network execs another piece of his mind and then saying "and I just left it at

Wheaton's resurgence started with is snarky Star Trek: TNG review blog. The problem is he's trying to exist on Tumblr as a nice guy social justice crusader and you just can't be a nice guy who is a dick about other people's stuff.

Cause Kirk is the patron saint of washed up former Star Trek actors.

I couldn't disagree more. It seems like there's always a ton of new and reissued stuff that I'd love to get a hold of. I tend to enjoy a lot more than the average human being, but there's definitely an awful lot of good things happening at all times. I love Bandcamp.

With Columbia House you weren't getting hosed but you did have to be on the ball for the stuff they sent you automatically. You had to buy 6 CDs at regular price and the regular price was comparable to what you paid at the store.

Cassettes seem to be the low cost alternative to vinyl for people who want something physical but don't want to buy CDs anymore.

I'm not sure. I think the vinyl craze will last a lot longer than people expected but I think that ultimately people are going to figure why CDs supplanted records so quickly in the 80s. I'm betting a healthy majority of the record players bought in the last 5 years won't see a needle replacement by their current
