To be fair, a lot of Fela's material runs over 20 minutes.

Still patiently waiting for Vinyl Box Set 3 curated by ____ Then I could have entire weekend of that infectious groove.

I sometimes think of the average AV Clubber as the guy who tried to convince Scharpling that Phish is a great band but kept recommending really terrible songs that had none of the qualities he claimed they had. That or the guys who would call in with the Frankie Teardrop stories.

Dude, this song ain't about you.

I just love the irony of defending Jim Morrison by accusing the person who dissed him as just being a hipster.

Songwriters that don't even use drugs forecast their death from heroin.

Well… except for the fact that Cobain had already achieved the nosebleed heights of fame before he died.

Britney Spears has nothing to do with this. I wouldn't bother trying to compare Minutemen with Sublime. They are two bands that you buy from different sections of the record store for different reasons.

Johnny Cash also sings about being in jail and being ashamed about what he did.

He wasn't saying the song Date Rape was an anthem for date rape, he said it was an anthem for the kind of people who date rape. Best you not get all snarky about 'nuance.'

This band was the midway point between acting like you're a total metal head while listening to Metallica's the Black Album and then acting like a wild piece of cougar bait while listening to Garth Brooks.

It's actually surprising how accessible Amazon ebook content is. Even the stuff I download for free gets a little webpage where I can send it to my phone, tablet, PC, or Kindle.

If Janet Jackson had pretended to gun someone down as a part of the theatrical show there wouldn't have been a problem. In fact you probably would have raised the heckles of the conservative commentators by merely using the word kill in any form to describe it. The whole nipple thing was tacky and the level of outrage

I tend to agree. Janet being the sister of Michael was also a footnote and she tended to follow Prince and other R&B artists more than Micheal and the soul/disco artists of the 70s.

I just prefer all day breakfast joints. Now showing up too early for lunch or only getting the snack menu because I showed up too late are my problems.

I just use the wishlist and then I won't order anything until I need enough to make the free shipping. There also times where I just pay the $5, it's not like Amazon Canada has the all the crap that Amazon US has.

Quite the opposite, it's one of my go to Radiohead tracks. In fact doesn't feel like a 6 minute song to me. It definitely shows that Radiohead is head and shoulders above most bands when it comes to orchestration.

You can typically blame the labels for that. When vinyl started getting popular again they jacked the prices up. My friend who runs a record shop often complains that the same stuff he used to sell for under $20 he can't get for less than $20 now.

I've always been a member of the 'I'm so sick of Radiohead camp' but I listened to Kid A a few weeks ago and it's pretty solid album. I still wish Motion Picture Soundtrack would have remained an acoustic rarity they only played on the radio, but there's really nothing else about that album that drags or feels dated.

Kirk should have kept his hair short.
