It would be interesting to hear those early Metallica albums remixed and remastered by the guys who do Relapse albums. I always loved the fact that those albums brought more of the drums and bass to front of the mix. It would also be interesting hear something like the Megadeth remasters which are amazingly clean.

There are versions of AJFA that have the bass moved up in the mix. But, I've never been interested enough to listen to it.

In hindsight seems more like a shot at the rest of the band.

I thought I'd start paying attention to football just to be social.. but I usually don't realize the seasons started until January.

It's more about crediting Cliff than blaming Newstead. There was a huge transition in Metallica between the release of Cliff 'em All and the 2 of One videos. In Cliff 'Em All you saw an anti-commercial band hanging out in a dump somewhere celebrating bootlegs that featured Cliff. Then 2 Of One was released and you

Didn't believe I could enjoy a video with a sci-fi theme.

Yup, no one should like music that isn't verified by the masses, so therefore no one should make music that isn't verified by the masses.

I still have a fond attachment to the Seal Beach EP.

The thing is rock is very easy to define with a minor knowledge of music theory. Rock does adhere to fairly specific rhythms and song-writing rules. The different subgenres of heavy metal aren't that difficult to define either, if you're listening to a lot of metal. If you compare Judas Priest and Led Zeppelin you'll

My favourite album next Last Rights. Has some of the band's best beats.

To me industrial has a particular beat, a particular application of factory noise, and a particular aesthetic. You'll hear that in Front 242, Haujobb, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, and Rammstein, but you don't really hear it in Einsturzende Neubauten, or Marilyn Manson.

The best definition of the Tea Party I've ever heard is "frustrated people responding to something." They are always entirely focused on where they see or perceive problems. They're never able to move forward unless it's to topple something. You'll find the exact same problem if you sit in a room full of extreme

Wow, I just heard it was Muslimgauze.

Body Count, Onyx, Biohazard, Monster Voodoo Machine

I listened to the song while reading the article and realized that it sounds like a drunk person trying to scratch like a DJ. At a time where you had Dimebag Darrel, Adam Jones, Kim Thayil and Jerry Cantrell all over the place Morello seemed a bit more novelty than innovator. The thing I really liked about Rage was

For me Megadeth, Sepultura, and Ministry. Hard not to be influenced by the NWO video. The first truly political band for me was Skinny Puppy. Still the real credit goes to Howard Zinn and Noam Chomsky recordings.

Rage Against the Machine is Paul Ryan's favourite band.

That video wins just for having Syd Dale's Hell Raisers in the opening sequence.

It's a classic RATM line, pretty, provocative, who knows why it's in there with the rest of the lyrics.

The video for Freedom because really popular around 1994, and Evil Empire became their first heavily anticipated album. Bulls on Parade would have been the first new Rage song for 13 a year-old in 1996. It would have been the first album they bugged their moms for at the local Walmart.
