This is the best-looking McLaren ever. Yes, it’s prettier than the F1. Car enthusiasts love to complain about every new car these days no matter what. Slightly modify the second-gen of a beautiful car, and it’s not different enough. Modify it more and they’ve butchered the design. Sheesh.

Definitely the concours crowd... But I actually think it’s a good thing that some owners go through the trouble to keep museum pieces. It’s not for me, but I want there to still be Ferrari 275s out there to show my kids in 20 years.

I was in the same boat as you. I found a well-priced, beautiful copper ‘76 280Z. Everyone waxes poetic about the racing pedigree of the S30, but when I drove it the car felt like a van to me. I ended up with a Miata and you will too. I couldn’t be happier with my decision.
