So... Nothing different than what was in the article.

The bullets weren’t fired from his gun. So the cops lied about that. Next question should be, was it actually his gun, or are they lying about that, too? Because cops would NEVER plant evidence to create a narrative that protects themselves. Especially not the good, honest, hard-working ones who would shoot a kid in

But it’s not iOS-only. I’ve been playing it on my Mac, and I could also play it on my Apple TV if I wanted the comfort of my couch, with a DS4. Cloud saves, too.

Exactly..dumb move..even if it should stay as a mobile game, they should at least went with andriod..

Lot of people on here salty because they don’t have an Apple product and can’t play this, then using “Wah I wanna play it” as a reason why Sakaguchi shouldn’t have taken a big paycheck to make a platform-exclusive product.

“Almost no one uses it.”

Why can’t I watch Stranger Things on TBS? I don’t want Netflix!

More people have iPhones than any one of the consoles... probably more than ALL the consoles, I’d wager. If you wouldn’t batt your eye at this being a console exclusive, not sure why it being iPhone exclusive gets you in a twist. “I wish this phone game wasn’t on phones because I want to play it but don’t like phone

Not necessarily.  Revolution's Beyond a Steel Sky was a timed exclusive for a few months on Apple's Arcade platform.

Apple Arcade means the convenience of mobile, decent income, and not having to ruin it with mobile monetization. And as others said, it’s not a permanent exclusive. Really smart move.

You’re really underestimating how many people have an iOS/tvOS device. This is an RPG, not an action game, so this also won’t exclude people who won’t attach a controller to their iOS/tvOS device.

Apple Arcade is a great service so if you  have iOS there’s no excuse to not get it. That being said Apple doesn’t seem that strict about exclusives as long as it’s not on Android. I’m betting Apple fronted them some money, so mobile version comes first, but this will get a broader release within a year.

12 Million Subscribers is a pretty good starting base. <_<

Fair enough. Though it’s not like this game is going to look noticeably better on PS5. Not enough to matter. It’s built for mobile, it ain’t Ghost of Tsushima.

It likely helped them stay employed for 1 game.. though if nobody buys this game (because nobody will see it since so few gamers use Apple arcade), it is far less likely any publisher will bite when they go looking for one on their next game and show that a whopping couple thousand people bought their last game.

Y’know, I will admit that after I made this post I remembered that Mistwalker actually generally doesn’t port their games to other platforms, so maybe it’s not as much of a sure thing as I thought. I still hope it will be, but... I dunno! (I’m still annoyed The Last Story never got another chance on Wii U or Switch,

On the flip side, you have to wonder if the game would exist at all if they hadn’t secured an exclusivity deal. Mistwalker hasn’t exactly had a stellar track record, and their last two mobile games were both shuttered within a year of launch.

This is a fairly high profile game by Apple Arcade standards, so I’m fairly confident it will be ported sooner or later. Thankfully, it’s a straight up JRPG without any mobile freemium mechanics as far as I’m aware. So porting shouldn’t be a huge hurdle like say, Terra Battle.

I keep seeing this but basically every Apple Arcade exclusive I’ve been interested in has been ported to PC or consoles so I’m not sure why people don’t expect the same from this.

“another Marvel project, yawn, they’re all the same anyways - I don’t see why anyone likes them anymore. They don’t do anything creative and the directors don’t matter, it’s all just Marvel-house style anyway.”
