Junkrat?
Junkrat?
Even the music…aside from [THAT ONE SONG], nothing stood out for me much after Jidenna's "Long Live the Chief"…which is in episode 5.
Or 13 hours of story squeezed into 8 hours.
They're creepy, they're kooky, they're all a little ooky
It might be spooky, they're invading your TV!
After (repeated) viewings of the video where he gets knocked out in one punch, I have never found Danzig intimidating in any way beyond his protruding gut.
I'm a huge fan of Ice Cube, but the rapper…not the actor.
What the hell are we gonna do when it's time for J. Jonah Jameson to be introduced in the MCU Spider-Man movies?
it's only jarring for me in context of a show that has no problems dropping the n-word, but still bristles at the usage of "fuck" in 2016.
Hopefully once B&C Season 1 Part 2 finally drops, it does well enough to get picked up for a second season by Frederator/Cartoon Hangover. I really want their new distribution model to work.
I think (hope?) CN will continue to explore special-based programming. It seems like it did well for them with Over the Garden Wall, as well as the Adventure Time "Stakes" special, and the week-long "Steven Bomb" release format for Steven Universe (especially when coupled with a week-long arc like the Sardonyx plot)…
I've seen Uncle Grandpa referred to as the animator's animated series, but its sense of humor has never appealed to me. Kinda like Rick & Morty.
CN's pillar has been Teen Titans Go! for a few years now.
I'm liking Mighty Magiswords so far. Some great boarder talent, and looks like a fun foundation for a new series.
Member when South Park was funny? MEMBER???????????????????
Now that Steven Universe has been smashing barriers, I think they've been more overt about it in recent episodes, while still more coy than anything they do over on SU.
The show dropped the "with Finn and Jake" subtitle wayyyy back in season one. I think keeping the show laser-focused on those two would have become boring after seven seasons. The great thing about Adventure Time is that it's a vast world of locations and characters to explore beyond Finn, Jake, and the Candy Kingdom.
Season 3 really had a big musical influence - and while it's still felt, I definitely think something big was lost after she left…but all the great elements of the episodes she boarded shine through even stronger on Steven Universe, which recently did overtake Adventure Time for me personally while watching their…
I never thought of Pen as the sole driving force of the show. Season 3 really let the team of Adam Muto and Rebecca Sugar shine, and Natasha Allegri was always an unsung hero of the early seasons. Muto was never my favorite boarder, but after Rebecca Sugar moved onto Steven Universe, he's increasingly gained more of a…
Friendship is Magic hasn't been good for several seasons now, in my opinion.
Based on Steven Universe (and their other shows like Regular Show, Clarence, etc), they're definitely willing to let their creators take risks…and it's been paying off well thus far.
