I've been driving BMWs for about 8 years (in the U.S.) and I've never had to get an oil change more than once a year. I just turned in a leased 1-series after almost 3 years and it had been back to the dealership one single time for maintenance. The cars tell you when they need to be serviced and I think the interval

The overuse of the word "unfortunately" in our society makes me crazy. It is most often used to avoid taking any responsibility for the situation ("unfortunately, your hard drive crashed," or "unfortunately, I stole all your money and spent it at the Apple store") and it usually comes off sounding really

It's because there are so many people on Facebook now that it's just like real life. You can't say anything interesting, opinionated or funny without risking offending a parent, employer, potential employer, ex, crush, conservative high school friend, etc.

Oh goodness, this is going to be a problem for me.

I'm sorry this is so complicated for you. There are ways of treating the first and business class passengers well that do not also entail treating economy passengers badly. Southwest is mostly business travelers, hardly an inner city bus route. And they are profitable with some of the lowest fares in the industry, so

Absolutely, the people that pay thousands of dollars to fly business and first class should be treated as gods and kings. That makes sense for the airlines. But constantly reminding your "economy" (f*ck that term, too) passengers how broke-ass they are just alienates them, it does not motivate the vast majority to

OK, his comparison to slaveships is overblown, which he admitted. But, he has a point about the treatment and attitude of airlines toward "economy" customers, who make up the vast majority of passengers. It's not like traveling business or first class is ever going to be an option for most economy passengers because

The Aztek did not start any craze, except the craze to ridicule the Aztek. It was not the first crossover by a long shot. Toyota began making the RAV4 seven years earlier, in 1994, and that is just one example of many crossovers that went on the market before the Aztek in 2001.

Having read the entire 29 page article (yes, too much time on my hands) the only thing we know is that we don't know anything. All - ALL - of the media reports regarding the pregnancy and birth were the result of third-hand knowledge and press releases from the Palins or the McCain campaign. The delivery doctor hasn't

Because this is an untested (and idiotic) marketing medium, it's hard to put a value on it but billboards in highly-trafficked areas go for thousands to tens of thousands of dollars per month. (I should know, look at my avatar...) Plus, they're getting the magic of wondrous publicity!

Also this one.

It's a truly awful looking car, and no review that I've read has had much of anything positive to say about it. Not to mention the ugly redesign that Chrysler has done with the 300... Chrysler represents the old, bad Detroit. Cheers to Scott Burgess for his honest assessment and for not caving into a decades-long,

@MifuneT: If the iPhone were a car, you'd want to avoid driving it into a wall (dropping it), which would cause damage no matter what type of material it was made with. Stop with the silly analogies already.

The only thing that keeps me hanging onto my six-month-old BlackBerry Tour is my fear of AT&T's coverage. The BB freezes constantly, requiring a hard reboot (battery removal, how quaint) and can barely pull up a web page... but it can make calls! And that's more than can be said for some of my iPhone-owning friends.

@blehbleh13: it's horrible grammar from a lame-ass ceo who needs to put his money where his mouth is.

@Kulprit442: This is the most heinous car on the road today. I saw one parked on the side of the road the other day, and had to pull over just so my eyes could adjust to the bizarre, awkward monstrosity I was staring at. It is absolutely hideous.

@dannypaulny: agree. i couldn't believe volkswagen was willing to bastardize itself in this manner. have we learned nothing, people?
