Last birthday, the chef at my favourite restaurant sent out a rather excellent glass of aged port, on the house. No singing, no clapping, no interupting other people’s dining experience.

“that she could care less”. Which means that she does care. Unless you meant ”that she couldn’t care less”.

Didn’t really mind the new tardis but I do prefer the multi-tiered look. The intro is fan service for those of us who grew up with the 1st-5th Doctors.

Unfortuately, 42 has already been used as an episode title...

Chibnall, rather than the woman Doctor was always my worry coming into this season- remember, this ws the person who wrote Cyberwoman...

I thought that they were bandages rather than scarves- more Healthtech gone wrong a la The Empty Child.

We are- opinions are split to whether it’s Charlie Day’s Boston Creme or Danny’s Donuts in Galway.

Boojums or Pablo Picantes are awesome.

Drive thrus themselves are very rare in Ireland. In fact I can only think of one other, the McDonalds on the Long Mile Road (coincidentally, not a million miles from Blanchardstown).

No a problem in Europe- there’s either a changing unit in the mens toilet or there’s a joint function disabled toilet/changing room.

One of the reasons that America keeps the drinking age quite high- to make sure there’s a large enough audience to pack out cinemas.

I don’t think I’ll be bothering after the underwhelming first season.

Out of all the new elements of the new series, Chibnall as the main writer is the thing that I’m the most worried out.

Also, are we going to get an episode where the Doctor rescues the “trophies” or was that just a throwaway?

I’m hoping that they can keep the Tardis away for awhile. It could make for a great storeline akin to number 3's exile on earth.

Yes, I think that Strontium Dog story was from Starlord which had a much better paper quality (and a lot more colour pages).

Loved him from the first panel of Strontium Dog in Starlord. His style was so unique, no other artist touched him- The Apocalyse War was utterly sublime. The other series I remember him drawing was Stainless Steel Rat and Fiends of the Eastern Front. Always knew it was Carlos without even having to look at the credits.

I think it was season 3 on Third Rock From The Sun where William Shatner makes an appearance. Jon Lithgoe asks him how his flight was and we get the following piece of brilliance:

I drink alone in many pubs, one of the advantages is if you know the staff/owner.

If you can, explain why (in your opinion) the beer is bad. Can you identify off-flavours? If so, let the bar person know. Try and discern whether the problem is with the beer or with the dispense- don’t rag on the bar staff if the problem is obviously a brewing issue, just quietly get in touch with the brewery and let
