To be honest I am most looking forward to the space sims and horror games on it but would love to see more genre's jump on board and find a way to make it work with the other genres.

The TL:DR version is buy it if like X-Com style games. The extended version is for those who want to know why they should buy it according to my preferences and my experience playing it in through early access up to now.

Erm..what? 8k or even 4k is not for the purpose of playing on a small or average size screen that you may be using to play on right now, so it is not directly comparable.
