No, she called herself a monster for having been raised as a killer. She never said “I can’t have kids so I’m a monster.” Whether or not yourself or others read into it that way is your own prerogative.

I watched the first several seasons of Xena despite how much I hated Gabrielle and her wide-eyed innocence (barf). I really warmed to her when she embraced a little darkness and brutality. But she still retained a lot of that early light without all the annoying stuff.
When he decided to live out his days in that alternate universe, I thought, wow, maybe I'll actually miss this guy. Only to have him triumphantly return in one of the first truly bad ass moments in the new DW series.
