I don't like cutting my nails when they're soft after a shower, but the big advantage is that the clippings don't go flying everywhere, so it's a trade.

If Fiat has any brains, they'll run that ad during the Super Bowl. It would be a nice break from the POS Go Daddy "too hot for TV" ads.

This! One of the best tracks from any movie. I still listen to it all the time. It's the kind of song that makes you want to fight when you hear it. Masterpiece.

Starship Troopers is an incredible movie. Just not a very good adaption of the book. I don't think that is a bad thing.

If you want a version that's closer to the Heinlein novel, fast forward through all the action scenes and replay the bit with Jeremy Ironside in the classroom over and over.

I'm totally with this guy. James May is my hero. Not necessarily a great tattoo, I think I could do better.

I had a professor at Ohio State who was part of a panel to come up with alternatives. Their solution was a giant piece of foil, spread out over the surface facing the sun. The idea was that, if you did this soon enough, solar wind would change the course enough that it would miss the planet.

I think Chevy is more of a cougar. Her best days are behind her, but she's still got a few tricks up her sleaves. You know you wouldn't turn her down if she made the offer.

I have a dryel bag, which cleans the clothes fine, but they still end up with the tumble dryer wear and tear. I have a lot dark colored shirts that get faded along the edges of the collar and cuffs

I am totally signing this. I have a sick fascination with the Renault Megane Coupe. But maybe only because I can't have one? Or maybe it's too late. Like that girl who lives in your building and you spend months working up the courage to ask her out. By then it's too late. You've hyped her up so much she could never

One of my favorites has always been 'Klendathu Drop' from from the Starship Troopers soundtrack by Basil Poledouris. A lot of emotion in that score.

It would be hilarious if the whole time that guy was thinking, "OMG. She writes for Gizmodo?! Strike three!"

So was the object of this article that author is stuck up bitch? 'Cause if there was supposed to be something else there, I'm not seeing it. Her thesis "that judging people on shallow stuff is human nature" is utter BS. (not to mention her lack of supporting argument) Not all people do that. Stuck up people do.

I used to work for the Emergency Projects department that is in charge of this. I was a part of several other similar projects, including some dealing with this moth. Let me just say: God help us all.

Am I the only one who cant get to the Best WP7 page? I keep getting redirected to the main page.

You know. You send this little bitty thing up into space and this is what's coming back:

Kat is way off base on this. I know so many people who had tried and failed (my best friend included) to stop smoking until they tried e-cigs. This device is literally saving people's lives and there is nothing "bloody stupid" about it. It helps people quit smoking while being completely unoffensive to people around

Unless you're sitting on their lap there is no way you are affected by it. My roommate uses hers in the car with me and most of the time I dont even know it. It disapates really quickly and the smell is very faint.

I think the Fringe version is more accurate. The color is much closer to the color of the bike ([www.pleaseyourself.ca] American Chopper made from the scrap metal harvested during the SoL's restoration.
