Go Mozy! LH convinced me with a post a while back. I set it up with a permanently attached external HD - years and years of thousands of pictures and movies were archived on it, around 100GB.

@ribex: I'm using Tab Mix Plus just fine in 3b5. I had to get it from here:

This is amazing!

Picasa and Bridge, back up on Mozy!

Like Rmvilla asked, is there any way to run SyncToy automatically after plugging in a flash drive? I think there was recently some LH article about something like that...

It may just be psychological, but "retraining" the prefetch thing seems to actually make my big Adobe programs open faster. It used to take 4 minutes-ish for Illustrator or InDesign to be fully open and usable under regular Vista. Under my fresh SP1 they opened right up. I wonder if you need to regularly "defrag/redo"

This actually works really well. I just got it installed on my family and with some modifications to the iframe code and some inline CSS I got two balloons to go side by side in my sidebar - [heissfamily.blogspot.com]

This is amazing! No more stupid dir!

What about piggybacking with permission and paying half the bill? Is that legal/ethical?

@Andrew: iTunesKeys will do that and more

Does anyone want to post the search query and URL for Amazon in Weby? I just added the Gmail search query that was mentioned earlier here, but accidentally overwrote the Amazon query. Oops! Thanks!

The closest host I've found to "free" is [NearlyFreeSpeech.net] - I pay about 2 cents a month. If I start a MySQL process and store more files there, I'd pay maybe 45 cents a month. They have full services, an excellent support forum, and have been around for a while, so they're not going to disappear one morning.

I second the PolarClock. It's fantastic!

I use GAppsFYD to have the cheapest possible webhosting I've found. I use [NearlyFreeSpeech.net] for hosting and domain name registration - $8 for the name, uber cheap, pay-as-you-go prices (I pay like $.02-3 a month). NFS charges $.01 a day for enabling e-mail services on their servers, but using GApps, I get that

Google Calendar is perfect for this...I use that extensively for all my class work. Who needs yet another login?

Please get that LDAP support working soon! That would perfect Gmail in every way!

Thanks! I've been wondering how to do this, especially since becoming addicted to Vista's shortcuts for launching QuickLaunch items (Win + the corresponding number - ie. Win + 1 would show the desktop since it's generally the first item in that group).

Wow! I am impressed! Go Adobe! I can't wait until the full thing is up - this thing is so much better than Google Docs or Zoho.
