If you want to, you can download any flash video (not just those on Youtube) in Safari or Firefox easily. In Safari, go to "Window Activity". You'll be on a huge wall-o-text page organized by your tabs. Under whatever tab your video is, you see a file ending in ".flv" that's several MB. Just double-click this file…

@JacaByte: They didn't handicap it per se, they just did what all multiplatform software companies do, look at the numbers. And the numbers say to program for Windows first, OS X last. simple as that. Just install Click to Flash for Safari and sign up for the HTML5 beta, works wonders for me.
