I wanted a 4-door GTI, but I bought a 2-door and am very happy with it. Which will be killed off sooner by the SUV: the 2-door coupe or the 4-door sedan? (Yes, I know the GTI is a hatch, but still.)

I approve this message and wholeheartedly endorse its platform.

This looks like a job for James May!

Now that’s a bastard love child.

I felt kinda bad about these until they started getting really funny.

If kids today didn’t have DVD players and video games to keep them occupied on long trips in SUVs with the family, “Camry Dent” would make a fun spotting game. But to me, it seems like the kind of game that should be played in the wayback of a station wagon.

A Saturn with all the options.

Since it’s at Star City Auto Sales, I think the seller should claim it was once owned by Green Arrow.

It looks like a big Saturn to me.

Sorry to see you go, Doug, but best wishes on the new gig. I really enjoy your writing. Keep up the good work, as they say.

God bless America. Or Canada, in this case.

I adore your writing, and I agree with you. I’ve got nothing against people storing them as investments, but they were made to be driven. Can’t wait to hear about the E34 (I had a 525i once...)

From the LA Times

That commercial is like a primer on how to insult someone’s intelligence.

Now I don’t feel so bad about FCA killing off the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200.

I agree: I think the E34 is the best-looking 5 series. It just looks right.

Should you “go commando” while you drive it?

I bought a 2010 MkVI in February of this year, so my vote goes to that one. Not as advanced as the current model, sure, but a lot more affordable.

I almost voted Nice Price because of this phrase: “It’s the Axis of Awesome!”

It’s like Volkswagen’s version of the Galapagos Islands.
