Please don’t take this the wrong way, because I am a lifelong Alabama football fan. But nothing says “Roll Tide” like having it duct-taped to your tailgate.
I had one of those as my first company car. What an underpowered dog, especially if you’re hauling a full keg in the hatch.
There is humor. I am hopeful.
I actually owned one of these things, I’m embarrassed to admit. Not the VR version, mind you, but a regular Eurosport with the Iron Duke 4-cylinder. It was the last Chevy I ever owned. We nicknamed it the “Celebriduke Eurospud.”
Oooh. I love the design of the E34. Almost bought a 525i wagon once. Still regret it.
“• Um, exactly what does the Flash’s badge/emblem/thing have going on with it—or inside it—that makes it so expensive?”
I didn’t know Dr. Who got an SLR...
“And try not to get upset that even this car’s name was taken decades later by a pretty boring Dodge.” Chrysler made the Cirrus. Dodge made the Stratus. How do I know? I owned one.
It had this awful upright dashboard, and a gaping whole between the center console and the control stack, and incredibly cheap switchgear...” Yes, spellcheck says “whole” was spelled correctly.

“The film also used various digital effects for the second ski chase...”
Altogether now: RAM-PAGE! RAM-PAGE! RAM-PAGE! Do you think they heard us in Auburn Hills?
What an excellent list! I’ve seen most, but not all of them. It’s rare for me to find a list of “must-see” movies that I agree with so wholeheartedly. My compliments!
I’d never thought of it as “the Bond movie Hitchcock never directed,” but I agree. The similarities to North by Northwest are remarkable.
How very Virginia.
I swear I thought at first the second attempt was written by Smoove B.
For me, it would be the E30 BMW 325is. Driving my brother-in-law’s 325is made an indelible impression on me, and evenutally led to me owning four BMWs (2 E30s, an E21 and an E34). Those Recaro seats...that short shifter. Wow.
To me, the smooth Lexus SC300/400s were not only the most beautiful cars Lexus ever created, but the later models were ruined by the addition of a little “slot grille.” Maybe they thought it would sell better, but it ruined the aesthetic.
