Rather bizarrely I got an unsolicited e-mail from Sony giving me a link and a time when I could log in to buy a PS5. It was so completely unexpected that I spent a fair bit of time Googling just to make sure it wasn’t a well-crafted phishing attempt.

I kind of suspect it would be a pretty big deal at first for schools that transition to uniforms from not having them previously. Teenagers are teenagers and there would probably be a fair bit of whining and angst at first. And after a few months it would just become a fact of life and no one would really care. 

I’m pretty much always on board for Rick’s ship acting bitchy toward Summer, so the episode worked for me.

The first season kind of felt like Game of Thrones as written by someone who would occasionally overhear their co-workers talking about Game of Thrones in the office kitchen. Cavill was basically the only actor worth a damn.

I don’t think The Martian is a great movie, but it’s probably one of the more impressive movies in recent memory just in terms of sheer tonnage of talent in the cast.

It seems like Thor: Love and Thunder is going to at least run with some of that last issue.

There’s a lot that’s absolutely offensive about the sketch, but I can’t deny that a mentally challenged character calmly and rationally explaining to Ben Affleck everything that’s wrong with Gigli amuses the hell out of me.

Ugh. This feels way too plausible. Probably not now, but in, like, two years, when memories are faded and people start saying things like, “You know, Ivanka always was the reasonable Trump.”

And just to make things extra spicy, any driver’s accidental death results in his/her 50 grand being split evenly among the survivors.

Not a lot of healthy father-son relationships in the MCU, huh?

Yeah, I’m a sucker for “erudite bad guy condescendingly explains things to the hero and audience” scenes. The guy they got to play the Architect does that really well. 

There’s so much about the original Mass Effect that’s charmingly chintzy, which is easy to forget when looking back at the trilogy because it ended up growing into this massive, epic trilogy and that’s what we tend to remember.
