Oh, man, I remember that level to this day. Freaked me the hell out when I first played it as a teenager. One of those situations where the limitations of the game’s technology/engine work to accentuate tension and fear - you have this first person perspective, and movement is really slow and awkward, so your field of

Perry randomly showing up and giving a genuinely great performance in Gone Girl was one of the more bizarre and unexpected movie developments I can remember.

*hijacks train carrying game’s profits, steals money, rides away on horse*

I’ve had good luck with lilies: they’re pretty, women like them and they’re not all self-serious like roses.

HOT TAKE: Three Musketeers bars are awesome. Everyone mocks them and everyone is wrong. They taste like delicious whipped chocolate air.

The last couple of days Netflix has replaced its usual sting with a horror movie scare chord, which is one of those ideas that’s kind of clever and profoundly annoying.

I mean, I get the skepticism, but isn’t it generally a good thing for writers (or any sort of artist) to stretch themselves and tackle characters, settings and themes that don’t come naturally to them?

I don’t like the Red Hot Chili Peppers either, but they’re not named after Pennywise.

State attorney general has become a position where ambitious politicians build up a resume and make their names before running for higher office - get your name on a prominent national lawsuit on a contentious issue, give a few press conferences while you sternly detail the sordid details of some white collar crimes an

This is the world’s tiniest pet peeve, but I wish the show wouldn’t explicitly lay out parallels to previous events in either the “previously on” or in flashbacks. We didn’t need the whole “this is objectively great” exchange from the pilot in the previously on clips - we all know Rebecca is calling back to that

Not covering the old country with glory, that’s for sure.

This was the first episode of the season that felt like the Good Place I fell in love with. The rest of the season has been smart, funny, kind-hearted and well-acted, but it lacked the kind of anarchic weirdness that cropped up all the time when The Good Place was in...um, The Good Place. Bringing the show to Earth

And by the way, for the kids at home, Black Panther just is white.

Oh, it’ll be the movie you absolutely love if you first watch it when you’re 16 and convinced you’re the only intelligent person in the room.

Ben McKenzie is apparently under the impression that he’s on a prestige TV drama about a good man’s fall and redemption, which would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.

Re 14: I admire the chutzpah of the show bringing in a love interest for Nygma who’s identical to the girlfriend he killed a season earlier, then shrugging and saying, “Nah, we’re bored with that” and hitting with her a train.

12 was one of my favorite moments in the entire run of the show. Penguin and Butch blow up Galavan, respectfully tip their hats to Gordon and stroll away, not a care in the world. Probably the scene that best nails the show’s tone.

In all honesty, if you’re looking for tightly plotted storylines with sound internal or external logic, it’s not the show for you.

Hmm. Let me see if I can make it to 10:

Gotham has many charms, but adherence to story continuity or even the most elementary rules of logic are not among them.
