I really wish they had used the 4 valve 4.6 in the Lincoln LS rather than the jag motor. The aftermarket would be insane for those things if they had. Could have a been a competitor to the gen 1 CTS-V if they had gone that route.

First is super, super long on those 3 speeds. Our motor was a 1968 dated (iirc) 289, that has been bored .060 over, giving us just about 302 cubic inches. We then used GT40P heads, Edelbrock 550 cfm carb, holley intake manifold, either a lunati or edelbrock cam (don't remember for sure), but it's not too radical, and

I forgot to mention that. We have 3 points up front, and lap belts in the back. The biggest thing to make it DD friendly was freshening up the steering and suspension. Modern highway speeds suck when your steering wheel has like 12" of play.

I guess that's a little bit true. We consider it a mild one since it has the 5 speed, electronic ignition, etc. It's for sale right now, but if it doesn't sell, we're planning on swapping in an Explorer 8.8 rearend with discs and 3.73 gears, and wilwood discs up front.

Crack Pipe to the extreme. My dad has a restomod 1965 Coupe, and has about 18k total in it. For that money, we got...

Ohhhhhhh my. Cup is filled.

I drove it when gas was $4 a gallon, I'll drive it when it hits $5 a gallon. Enjoy your POS eurotrash wagon.

You're doing the Lord's work.

Awesome! Now keep the unreliable train going, and get something absurd. Like a boat. Or an ultralight. Or some kind of flying boat.

Did you ditch the Rover? Or do you still have it, the H1, and the R32 on the way? Sorry if that was mentioned. My reading comprehension is on the same level as a squirrel today.

Check my blog. I wrote a piece explaining why I daily an SUV.

I work in downtown Kansas City, and park in an inner city parking garage with my Expedition every day.

I sure do. I never said my truck was my only vehicle? Just that as a daily, it's the most practical.

My high school vehicle was a 1997 F-150. Single cab, short bed, with 4.10 gears and the 5.4. With full exhaust and a tune, it ran and sounded great, and surprised a lot of LT1 F bodies and 2 valve mustangs. My parents still have it, and it's running just about like new with 280k on it, 80k of those being hard, hard 16

I currently daily a Ford Expedtion. It's absurdly comfortable, rides pretty well since it has IRS, has heated and cooled seats, a killer sound system, and the only people who cut me off on I-35 are semis. I dig it.

Unfortunately, most of them can't pull a boat or a camper. Or fit 7 full size adults comfortably. I get the appeal for sure. There are just plenty of things that a BOF SUV or Truck can do that a car based wagon can't.

I enjoy my SUV. It's the most practical vehicle for my needs at the moment. I also love sleeping in an open pickup bed on gorgeous summer nights. Different strokes, I guess.

Once again, see Pickup Truck. Or SUV.

I won't deny that. I had a 1986 Z-28 before I had my 1999, and it was a decent step up.

Mine was a 1999 Z-28 Convertible. Was a super clean, 2 owner, 80k car when I got it. That being said, the door gaps were atrocious. The window motors seemed to take a shit every 2-3 months. The wonderful rearend, that was seemingly made from glass, and would grenade the second it caught of glipse of tires that would
