It's a 4th gen F body. You'll never fix all the fitment gaps. Mine was so bad :(
I'm gonna go against the LSX swap grain, and suggest a 4 valve ford. Clearance shouldn't be too much of an issue, as it already has a DOHC V8.

I think a lot of it comes back to the failure that was the 350 Olds Diesel. My grandpa owned one back in the day, and would never even consider a modern diesel as a result, no matter how much improvement has been made.
