There is no such thing as “well before the 6-week deadline”. When you are “Six weeks pregnant” your period is two weeks late and conception happened only 3-4 weeks previous.

I’m confused when/where you’re talking about being cursed at. There are a lot of obvious reasons why simply taking pregnancy tests and out of state travel won’t be options for every single woman in Texas who wants to end a pregnancy.

The Texas law is written so strangely that it wouldn’t be illegal for a woman to self administer the medication after the 6-week mark. The only people liable under the law are people who help a woman do so, and this program is sending the pills prior to pregnancy so the providers wouldn’t necessarily be liable.
