Considering that it lists the setting as the 1920's (1920年代)　immediately after that shot , I think it's probably the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923. Which doesn't really change your point, but it's slightly less horrific than a nuclear explosion.

Yep, it's time to get rid of the most successful franchise in video game history. Pokemon too; the kids who loved the old games are adults now, so clearly the new ones won't sell. And Zelda? Heh, when was the last time anyone had something good to say about that piece of crap?

the game will be great, but your wrong about what the only problem is. The only problem is that nintendo's big E3 splash was another 2d donkey kong game. A game that will most likley be awesome, but if that is your centerpiece you are going to have difficulty generating excitement when the competition is displaying…

What is this stupid idea that a development team as talented as Retro can only work on one, small downloadable title at a time? I mean, have you all not noticed the tons and tons of exclusive 3ds content coming out, seemingly simultaneously? Just because they haven't announced a game doesn't mean they're not working…

It wasnt, but so what, it will sell bazillions as will Mario Kart 8 and Mario 3D something. Its sad, cause the Wii U will end up like the Wii, maybe with fewer sells, but little to none existent new worthy games.
