The sub-scale P-51D did get a limited production run and you see the occasional one for sale on the web. The falconer V12 puts out 500Hp but has been supercharged in a Reno racer to near 800Hp :)

I remember seeing a few of these in the states thinking they were from the mid eighties. Such horrible exterior design!! This was the year of the Maclaren F1 and the Jaguar XJ220, even the the Dodge Viper was around in 1992. How could those ugly ungainly lines be viewed by anyone as “nice” “elegant” or “clean”?? Look…
