Would be too much of a coincidence but it would be funny and sad if Syril tries to get the Empire’s attention again and gets sent to the same prison as Andor. Then there are two ways to go, either have Syril try to reveal Andor’s identity, or have him recognize how terrible the system he’s supporting is and help

I’m leaning more towards my last bit. I think he’s going to turn in Luthen, but Meero will be off-world and so it will just get filed away as another false alarm while he gets arrested or in trouble over it.

I thinks the odds that Syril eventually becomes a rebel are still incalculably low. He’s got the heart of a fascist, he will never turn against the Empire, even if he needs to bend and break its rules in his twisted idea of service to it. When Dedra Meero walks away after rejecting him multiple times, he has the

I just want those nifty Reebok Pumps the guards are wearing.

DNA evidence would be real reasons to send people to jail. The Empire just rounds people up to send to prison. There is no justice in the Empire.

I do wonder what they’re going to do with him. It seems pretty likely that he’s going to have some run-in with Luthen on Coruscant where he identifies him by voice, but where from there?

I kind of like that part of it. For all the ISB’s tools, it’s a vast empire and a lot of stuff can slip through because it’s not really all working together seamlessly (and because the folks who sentenced Cassian and the prison operators don’t really care to investigate his fake identity).

I’m wondering if there’s some type of weird aristocracy thing going on with Mon Mothma, given that she mentioned it as Chandrilan custom and she’s clearly someone from an upper-class background (I also suspect she’s going to get in trouble from her husband thinking she might be having an affair with the banker, and

I’m loving the planet variety and detail we’re getting from this show. It’s nice to get a SW property that isn’t 90% desert worlds

Those scenes on Narkina 5 felt more like a metaphor for working at an Amazon warehouse

The scene between Brownshirt Javert and Dedra is sad and funny. A pathetic fascist fanboy with an overblown opinion of himself desperately sucking up to an SS officer.

Reductiveness at it’s fanboi best. You don’t deserve nice things.

Low-key enjoyed the extremely on-the-nose discussion at the cocktail party of Emperor Palpatine in virtually the exact language of Republicans talking about Trump.

What? No reference to the fact that one of Cassian’s table mates is Melshi, future rebel soldier who dies alongside him on Scarif?

I disagree that the inclusion still feels lacking. The series is showing a gay couple acting like real human beings. Both women are rebels fighting for a cause and I wouldn’t expect scenes of romance while they’re planning a dangerous heist or staking out Andor’s mom’s house. I get what you’re saying about how their

At the same time, though, its important to recognize that Luthen massively fucked up when he called the disagreements “petty”.

I’m pretty sure Cassian didn’t say a word for the whole first half of the episode, but it’s still all on Luna’s face.

I love how Cassian both seems totally in shock as to what’s happened to him here, and at the same time still can’t help himself from clocking everything.

“then that is a bigger problem...”

If there’s anything I know by now, it’s that people are totally capable of understanding they’re watching fiction and still develop an understanding of reality based on that fiction.
