I suppose its for people who have been become despondent with the ability of humankind to fix our messes. Too many invested interests get in the way. Maybe these people believe that there isn't much we could screw up, up there and it could only be made better.

Based on the past I have to agree. They will only use it to its full potential if the UE3 makes it easy to do so.

I am just waiting for the moon dinosaurs now and cyber-spears.

That isn't an issue. Plenty of places will charge you by weight for a hand of bananas, but a fixed price for a single banana. As to the price, set it slightly above that of the average banana weight price.

Do I get this right: we progressed technologically just so we could live in a cave on another ball of dirt? :)

Don't these things usually have an emergency stop button?

Nah, its 20/4.

I am guessing so, but I suppose it comes down to what you were planning to use it for an cost.

Compared to this USB is a very poor cousin. Not only can USB achieve this throughput, but the application are limited. Also, I get the feeling that the CPU wont be doing all the work either. You could potentially have a dock which offers all your connectors, with the dock plugged into this port.

The Light Peak connector looks similar to the USB connector, but it is not quite the same. I haven't been able to find out what logo is used to represent the connector as this point.

You are right. I didn't read the article ad just looked at the pictures and based on the looks assumed it was plastic.

Not that impressed. It is still made of plastic. Yeah, I think I may have become a metal enclosure snob.

A report was published and warnings sent. They even cut off a few suppliers.

You would be a responsible parent then. The problem is that are many parents who either don't seem to care or think it is the responsibility of the school.

Just like war, it is the people on the front-line that get the brunt of the opposing side.

A Mac Plus, but it was essentially the same look.

My valentines day is going to be going to the gym as usual, grabbing something to eat and then taking it easy at home.

You bring up an interesting point. You hardly ever see Dells in store and when you do it tends to be their bottom of the range stuff. Neither are going to help people be aware of your high end products.

Then again this hasn't stopped people buying Apple computers. Maybe we should be asking why the MacBook Pros sell so well and not these computers? Are people aware of this range, are people being put off by the OS or is the competition in this category simply providing a more appealing product?

Don't forget the free fuel and free repairs.
