Andor is so well-written that's it eclipses Star Wars as a franchise.
On the strength of Russian Doll alone, or maybe the pitch was that strong? Like, I don’t need or want Star Wars shows to be helmed by people who have only worked in sci-fi/fantasy. I’d rather watch spectacular failures that tried something different than boring failures that played it safe.
If you have no knowledge of its history, you can enjoy it for its gross-out humor, gooey violence, and surprising heart. If you have seen the original, you can appreciate how Blair stripped everything problematic and bad out and kept its unique, memorable Troma tone, along with plenty of callbacks and easter eggs.
This is one issue and it’s not really dour, it’s just tragic.
Honestly with Luke gone I don’t see a point in returning to this site anymore. His were some of the few articles I found tolerable to read or even mildly informative without relying on constant opinion and hearsay without research being done.
Luke! One of the Kotaku OGs. It’s been a pleasure, and best of luck in your future endeavors.
It cannot be stated enough how Soken understands a moment and turns up the intensity beyond 11 as he has demonstrated in XIV.
This was an incredible comic, so glad it’s getting a film adaptation too.
God, Nimona is the worst. I love her so much.

The fact that people stick up for Prometheus - like, passionately defend it and claim it’s a classic piece of Sci-Fi cinema - is beyond my comprehension.
Why destroy everyone’s opinion of what you’re saying by mentioning you think Prometheus was well-written, when it was possibly the most clownshoes SF movie of the decade?
Came here for this. You are on fire today. That’s the second star you’ve gotten out of me today.
Maybe he got asked to leave because he didn't know Yoda said, "Do or do not, there is no try."
The “you” was the general, not you in particular, as is common usage.
To presume that saying or doing something positive at the end of a game is anything otherwise.
You see how crazy that is, though, right?
Yes, and I’m looking forward to that.
Watch out. You are gonna get ten people saying “It not about racism” with that comment. Which also kinda feels like a dog whistle
