Oh crap. I just checked and you’re right. There was also Lauren Montgomery and a lot of others too. Maybe that’s why I got a sense of so much of Avatar’s timing and style from it, even though they’re really very different shows.

A completely original IP is fine by me too, considering how great their take on Voltron was.

I really felt this with my first Monster Hunter (Tri). For me it was a “Nat Geo gone horribly wrong” fantasy but once my friend unlocked G rank it was all about numbers and hit boxes, making those creatures automatons whose assigned number of HP had to be depleted.
