Pulling future demand into the present didn’t help the auto industry. Total sales volume over time is exactly the same. And it hurt of lot of lower class car buyers because 500k+ useful used cars were murdered.

Now playing

+1000. This program was the single most egregious assault on affordable cars ever foisted upon the American people. The most bought vehicle was a Ford F150, and some complete jackass even traded in a Buick GNX.

The vehicle trim of absolutely nothing. No trim levels. Just all a la carte options. You want heated seats? Boom. No optioning up to a trim with a bunch of other shit you don’t want.

An orthodondist designed a car without a grille, oh the irony.

It’s great when you’re able to dish out justice against those people. Came across an F150 while driving my BMW, so I guess it was the opposite of the situation in the article. He was none too pleased when he came out to his truck. My car was fully in the lines too!

How about blocking a double parker while being able to fit in one spot yourself?

thats a clothing donation bin for a local charity......its taking up half the stall so really the truck was just doing its best.

Holy fucking shit, why is it always a BMW?

Should’ve just done this to both of them:

This is the single greatest image on the Internet today, June 25 2015.

I have seen this in action and have even succumbed to it myself. I have learned over the years however that customers do not make up concerns about their vehicle. If they say it’s doing it, it’s doing it.

This reminds me of working for a Nissan dealer and customers bringing in their cars because the transmission wouldn’t shift. Then they’d get mad when we wouldn’t try to fix it, even after we explain to them how a CVT works. There are no ‘gears’ to shift to.

Stand on his desk and urinate all over his paperwork. Nobody calls me crazy. You hear that doctor simmons? Not crazy

I solve these kinds of problems with Google. As it turns out, the collective experience of the entire planet can be pretty useful. I had an evap code from hell that the dealer couldn’t diagnose in 2 years. Some Google, and some eBay, and some halfway smarts, and I had it.

:)

I thought this was the most advanced Beetle?

This is an amazing photo. How do I get transported to there and then?

It isn't Fusca in Portuguese. It is Fusca in Brazil. In Portugal the Beetle is called Carosca.

I clicked the "discuss" button because, well, after reading the article I just knew clicking discuss would lead to my pouring forth a string of absolutely, devastately witty comments. Yet, I clicked "discuss" (don't judge me, it's better than working) and here I sit. Blank. Dull. Most definitely NOT humorous.
