He started in shelters working with cats and then began a business with… a vet I think she was? So he didn't just up and start the show with no prior experience. Most of his learning was independent and from his own experiences though, no degree or anything. I unashamedly love him, thanks to him I cured my cat of some

Oh yeah the issue is what they said and what it means, I just get annoyed because it feels like for this show that issue is a total Cousin Oliver

Excellent analysis. So in that case the growth would be he realises kids aren't a revenge item and he doesn't actually want them.

That's a good idea but the scene kind of indicated otherwise. It'd be a neat twist if it was the case though!

Yeah, which I think the best indication of their personal growth would be the awareness they don't need kids in their lives. Following the life script despite their general antipathy towards it doesn't feel like forward momentum for this crew.

I think you might be closest but even with their personal growth I never saw them heading that way. They don't even notice or care their neighbour kid is starving lol. But yes, perhaps they're thinking more 'should' than actual 'want'.

Of course but it feels out of character for these people.

I'm still kind of furious they've even considered saddling any of these characters with kids. Nothing Jimmy has ever done or said indicates he's interested in being a father yet suddenly it's an issue? Same with Lindsay and her 180 about being a 'family'. It just feels dishonest to who they all are. Becca and

I'm pretty sure she was wearing the same dress as the original wedding too.

Yeah true. I believe television without pity called her a skinny, screeching howler monkey and they were right on the money.

No I don't think I always hated her from the start but she did grate and it got worse from there. She and smarmy Big (what was so great about him again?) deserved each other. I mean when she wasn't being a general self centred nightmare she cheated on Aiden then dumped him again, yelled at Charlotte for not giving her

I don't mind it and I hated Carrie with the fire of a thousand suns. That said I will always and forever love THC from Ned and Stacey more (Debra Messing before W&G is in it too). If you can get your hands on it you'll laugh your butt off.

Maybe. I didn't get through the whole first season so it might have improved but that's how I felt initially, that the terrible behaviour and manipulation was passed off as cute.

I struggled with the 'sympathetic' part for Rebecca. I liked some of the other characters but couldn't be on her side ultimately.

From what I saw at least Valencia was open about the type of person she was. But I didn't finish series 1 as I was so put off so I probably missed the grand realisation that Rebecca was a manipulative so and so who played with other's lives for her own benefit.

I dunno, I tried with this show I really did. But much like Speechless I just can't enjoy a show where people are consistently arseholes.

I'm wondering when her parents will be summoned in to royally fuck things up but somehow fix it? Maybe with stern words and a forced visit to a facility? Surely they were in her contacts.

Glad I'm not alone. For me part of the appeal was that Jimmy and Gretchen are terrible people who blithely go through life spitting on our social conventions. To me it was great escapism because it's certainly not something I could do. Now reality is intruding which, if it was still funny I would be on board, but it's

While I certainly appreciate the good writing and acting this season I just…. I miss my funny show.

I'm over this show. I used to like Mindy as she was a completely unapologetic by-product of pop culture and it made her interesting. Now she's just a selfish monster who does what she likes when she likes with absolutely no regard for the people she's supposed to care about. She forced that poor man from Stanford
