Seriously, secret chats were the reason I started using it in the first place (that and...stickers. Don’t judge me!). I knew you needed the secret chat to be encrypted. No one who cares about encrypted chats will be using Telegram and thinking it’s all encrypted end-to-end.

So stop using Telegram start using Facebook and WhatsApp because its so secure and Zuckerberg is paying us. According to interviews with leading encryption and security experts. LOL

That’s the point, the article was created to confuse. Telegram uses two types of encryption and both are safe ... obviously the secret chats are safer.

According to Telegram’s FAQ, Secret chats are encrypted end-to-end, so only the two clients can read the messages. Normal chat’s are encrypted from the client to the server and back. Anyone who controls the server can view all messages in transit.
