I have found it much quicker and easier to use Outlook to download mail from my Yahoo account rather than log into Yahoo and use its rather clunky web account interface.

No. Unless you’ve set a policy on your desktop mailer to automatically delete records, they stay until you actually delete them from your machine. Even at that, there are likely copies on the machines of other recipients, the sender and whatever mail server it was routed through.

You can pull your Yahoo mail down to your local machine if you set your mailer that way and access it through Mail, Thunderbird, Outlook or whatever else you have. The mail will live on your local machine.

Because most private email servers do not act like yahoo. Most are configured to locally pull down the emails because of way they have been setup.

This is what I was wondering about but apparently we lucked out by using Google and Yahoo because other email programs like Outlook can download copies of email to your device automatically. This seems like a recipe for trouble to me but this is so people can work offline. What I also don’t get is why 4 year old

You misunderstand how email works. They are suggesting she used some POP style email client, which doesn’t just access a server and read the email on demand, but it actually downloads a copy of all of your emails to your local drive. Take Outlook (when not being used with an Exchange server, or possibly with one, but

Yes, they’re synced but the emails still aren’t on my laptop, they’re on whatever Yahoo keeps them on. If they were on my laptop it would have lots of its memory taken up by this stuff and it doesn’t. The same goes for my phone.

OK, but why would that then mean the emails are found on the computer? I can only read my emails by going to my email account, you wouldn’t find any old ones on my laptop much less 10 000 of them unless I took the trouble of downloading them from the account.

Yes. And, married people share devices all the time out of convenience, being in a hurry, going on vacation together, etc. Not that big of a mystery.

There is nothing mysterious about it. Set up your email on a computer with any of the mail programs on defaul settings it starts syncing everything on the server not just the unread messages.

Well he was reading Russian propaganda during one of his rallies and implying the Russians should continue hacking the DNC and the Clinton campaign. But, UNRELATED E-MAILS to the server non-story is all that matters to the “left wing” media.

I’m a Clevelander and the distraction of baseball has been such an unbelievable fucking blessing. I can drink to excess on a regular basis because I’m ‘celebrating’ and no one bats an eye, and we can watch baseball instead of the news. Thank god.

It’s more that they prefer the lack of oversight they would have under a Trump presidency.

Wait....there has been correspondence between Trump and the Russian government?

God I know. Please just make it end

I can’t do anything about wine, but here’s a kitty sitting in a box he had to give up attempting to lay down in because he’s a big, big boy.

I honestly somehow keep thinking that election day is this week, and whenever I remember that it’s next week and we have to live through another entire week of this entire shitshow I get incredibly despondent.

Mr. Christie, about that bridge...

What a shame. This pair would have given us so many quality memes.

Always the Tiffany, never the Ivanka, eh Chris?
