I will for sure be watching this. Looks brilliant!

Sounds like this guy has stockholm syndrome.
Good call, it’s still being sold in the states as the Toyota Yaris ia. They may have dropped the ia part for 2018, but either way we sat in one at the auto show and it was identical to the Mazda 3. Absolutely down to the fabric identical. Fun, reliable, efficient, excellent choice for a college student.
I took my kids to the auto show a few months ago, and we played the “lowest quality car” game. The Fiat 500 won by miles and miles, the panel gaps were large enough to stick a thumb in, the switchgear wobbled, the seat wobbled, the entire car felt like it was about to fall apart. That was the one they chose to bring…
I love Mazda. A lot. The MS3 is not a reliable vehicle, they eat motors.
I found the perpetually offended!
I’m guessing they were referring to the reliability aspect. An auto tranny designed to handle 120 lb-ft will disintegrate fairly quickly when tasked with 170. Not that a clutch will do a LOT better, but should be better, and it’s cheaper/easier to replace the clutch with a stronger clutch once the supercharger…
I can’t help but chuckle whenever I see someone referencing their vehicle needing to be able to handle rain. Rain? Seriously? Maybe it’s because we drive through blizzards on an annual basis where I live, but rain is a challenge?
No it isn’t, restricted stock isn’t yours until it is vested. That is an entirely different animal from this, where a customer purchased a vehicle and the seller is attempting to dictate what the buyer is allowed to do with their property. If this isn’t structured as a lease, then it’s the buyers and most states’ law…
That 5 mpg highway bump is not nothing, I’d take the E63 all day every day over any SUV.
This might be the angriest set of comments I’ve seen here, and the article isn’t even about Tesla! Get your popcorn ladies and gentlemen!
“Sounds like you never heard of Google. Its a magical tool that will answer questions so that you dont have to ask that same question to strangers on the internet. Its no secret the Mazda3 has been selling horribly for a long time.”
That IS pretty good! I keep my cars for 10+ years, so unfortunately it isn’t quite good enough. I can go sans warranty if I can believe the car won’t fail me. I’m not ready to submit to a Camry yet, but it has to be more reliable than a VAG product.
So you have zero sources that say the Mazda 3 is being cancelled. On the contrary they are dumping massive piles of cash into their SPCCI engine which will debut in, you guessed it, the new Mazda 3. So you can keep bringing the snark but the facts evade you.
This, over and over. VW makes vehicles I desire, with a build quality/reliability that prevents me from ever owning. I would LOVE a GLI or GTI, or even the Passat V6 but I just can’t do it.
Are they able to put the power down yet? Hyundai notoriously sucks at getting the power to the actual wheels. They definitely aren’t grounded to the ground
How are you liking EP so far?
“Yep and the Mazda 3 is selling so well it be soon discontinued.”
You are the best kind of driver, I think we’d be friends. :)
And the House of Pain.
