I didn’t say it was bad, just commenting that they keep up with refreshes on the vehicles they care about. There have been 3-4 iterations of silverado in the lifespan of the sonic.
I realized recently that I have phased out of boy-racerdom. I see an RS every day on my way to work and love seeing them driven, but I have no desire to own one. I have a blue Mazdaspeed3 that I still do love to drive but I’m not after the racer look anymore. If I got another hot hatch it would be a golf R. But…
ST1 seats are okay, I have a buddy with one and they fit fine. It’s the recaros that are the problem
I love it so far. There’s no other way to buy a manual convertible pickup in this country!
Wheels and tires have to be balanced or the tires will wear unevenly and your ride will be weird as heavier parts of the tire swing around wildly - that’s what the weights are for.
the trucks get a refresh and redesign like clockwork. Keep the money train rolling
Almost like making the same car for 9 years means a sales decline at the end because it’s no longer competitive
The specific Recaros used in Focii? You’re telling me Ford spec’d them with adjustable width side and leg bolsters and you’re literally the only big guy to know about this?
Shoulders, ribs, hips, thighs...none of it fits
I’m 6'3 and about 260 right now. Because anyone who owns a suit can understand, my jacket size is 48L tailored/slim. I am just.....large. Those seats are some of the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been in
$3k according to my research.
LOL you think he wears a shirt
Those specific tires are $650 a piece. Which is outrageous for a street driven vehicle. As is every aspect of this truck.

Checked out the STs when they first launched. One quick sit in the Recaros and I knew I could never own them. I’m tall, wide, and thick and they do not fit me in any dimension, especially the side bolsters that felt like they were trying to push my ribcage out through my stomach
Before I bought my Gladiator I was considering just replacing my hot hatch with a Golf R instead. Admittedly I did not even look at the RS because I knew it was not a serious contender. The R is a great split between performance and daily comfort. Ultimately I kept my car and added something completely different
