I loved Rucka’s earlier run where WW was the Themysciran ambassador -- I think the greatness of her character has always been her emphasis on peace and love rather than the warrior bit. I think having her descended from Zeus also diminished her because it made her reliant on a male for her powers. I’m hoping Rucka

I really liked the first two issues--they were funny and original, but the following issues are falling into a rut: Velma feels guilty about being involved in Apocalypse, but rationalizes why she’s a good person; Daphne dumps on Velma and Fred; Fred keeps saying what a great journalist Daphne is and how much he loves

I’d be less interested in this if Sholly Fisch wasn’t writing this. He did an amazing job with Super Friends and Batman: the Brave and the Bold, telling stories that were actually interesting and fun to read to my daughter. Definitely an underappreciated writer.
