@gman1023: Yeah...It was forrest green with a black interior. Would have been a pretty easy restoration...some cleaning up and mechanical work through. Got there the next day with a pocket of cash and the engine was gone, the windshield was shattered and the interior was destroyed. *sigh*

@gman1023: I'm familiar with that car as well. It was being sold by a broker somewhere in upstate New York, I believe. He also had a '74 triple Rosewood/Terracotta I was interested in but when I saw the price of that black one, it scared me off.

@gman1023: That's gotta be a one of one Talisman there. I've seen a few of those ACRS cars....personally I'd be scared to drive one. The shop manual for repair basically said to take the ACRS unit out, put it in a dumpster and set it on fire so it would blow up and then reinstall a new one.

Trust me....with all the torque the 500 puts out, you didn't need 400hp to get it moving. Besides, the way my '75 goes through gas, if it had 400hp you'd measure gas consumption in feet per gallon.

I just spec'd out a 2012 Focus, non-ST model, at $27k. Same price as a fully loaded MazdaSpeed 3. Slightly cheaper than a leather interiorless VW GTI. I have a feeling that ST model will crack $30k and, given viable options in the market, people will save themselves some coin for rides that are just as respectable.
