This is getting ridiculous. How many people knew about Cosby's hobby, but didn't say shit? How many people enabled this asshole?

I thought you'd be right, but surprisingly, Pakistan is pretty close to the middle among the countries polled by Pew. The percentages are not weighed for a given countries population of Muslims, but a quick glance at this graphic is still pretty alarming.
Pointing out the affects of ideologies isn't necessarily racist, though it can be used to fuel racism I suppose.
Who really cares about labeling activities like this "cheating." Love, and the relationships that come with it, isn't like a football game with a rule book, team of referee, and instant replays.
You're not imagining it, and the tribalism doesn't stop at pop music. Keep taking the high road.
Here's another very long and very detailed discussion of this:
Well said! Feminist advocates don't need this story to be true in order to make a compelling case for reforms. This is such a stupid battle to fight in a much bigger war.
How are you purporting that victims who don't tell the police but are somehow *still* making it up harming those poor innocent menz?
A general "names have been changed" notation in a completely separate part of the book was not enough to justify not clearly stating that Barry wasn't the actual name of her rapist. Especially when she noted in other places when names had been changed.
Because Barry asked for a clarification or a statement of some kind to be made in early October. He was being hounded by press. She and Penguin wouldn't respond. It wasn't until Breitbart used the name "barry" to go ahead and investigate this incident that she revealed that the name is actually a pseudonym.
Sure, Dunham admits they never met and Barry is just a pseudonym.
In her BuzzFeed piece, Dunham says her intent wasn't to shame "Barry" or try to make a case for criminal action against him, but to expose "my shame, letting it dry out in the sun:"
He's smart, and he brings WAPO into the fray. He's also a legal expert and this is currently a legal issue/
The number of "prominent conservatives" at Oberlin is probably pretty close to the number of writers at Gawker.
Let's say I wrote a nonfiction book about the gawker-verse, and included this passage: "Some writer, a woman who works at Jezebel named Kate, she likes to eat dog poo."
This isn't about Breitbart. It's about some guy named Barry. A dude who is married with children and is currently being accused of rape by multiple bloggers who have discovered his full name.
My understanding is that the disclaimer can be found on the copyright page- a page that no one ever reads.
On the copyright page. Who the hell reads the copyright page.
Yup. Wapo's Volokh is on it, now. It wouldn't surprise me to see WAPO begin digging into these details. They have way more resources, and unlike Breitbart, more people at Oberlin will be willing to work with WAPO.
This is the most reasonable comment I've read all day. Kudos.
