I think it makes her human? Like we are all (hopefully!) learning and growing and listening in the goal of treating everyone else the way we want to be treated. I don't think anything negative about her based on this remark, just that she needs to learn and grow more.

Sorry, maybe we should define our terms? Racist for me is having negative perceptions, presumptions and opinions about people based on their race.

I think what she said was ignorant. I don't think she's a racist. Those two opinions can coexist quite peacefully.
